Interventional Cardiology Locums – 24hr Call Coverage (GA)

Job description

Opportunity Highlights:
• Ongoing assignment with flexible monthly coverage
• Up to 6 days per month
• 24-hour call shifts (7a–7a)
• Mix of inpatient consults and STEMI call

Schedule:
• 24-hour call coverage (7a–7a)
• Dates currently needed: April 17 at 5pm – April 20 at 7am, with additional dates to come
• Ongoing need for a few days per month

Work Details:
• Inpatient consults and ED STEMI coverage
• Responsible for bedside consults, follow-ups, and emergency response
• Procedures include diagnostic caths, low-risk PCI, TEE, echo, and stress tests
• Average volume:
• 10–12 consults per day
• 3–5 caths
• 3–5 stress tests
• ~10 echoes
• Minimum of 8 hours clinical work daily prior to call
• Support staff includes NP, RN, and tech support
• EMR: Meditech (also uses eCW and PK)

Requirements:
• BC/BE in Interventional Cardiology (within 5 years of fellowship if BE)
• Active Georgia license required at time of submission

Additional Details:
• Credentialing timeframe dependent on licensing (GA license required upfront)
• Ongoing need due to provider coverage gaps
