Invasive-Interventional Cardiologist Needed in Dublin, Georgia

Job description

A facility in Dublin, Georgia is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible (within 5 years) Invasive-Interventional Cardiologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage. This assignment includes a mix of inpatient consults and ED STEMI call in a supportive, team-based environment.

Assignment Details:

Start Date: ASAP (upon credentialing)
Duration: Minimum 6 months
Schedule: Up to 6 days per month
Shift: 24-hour call (7a–7a)
Specific Dates Available:
April 17 (5pm) – April 20 (7am), 2026
Ongoing need for a few days per month

Coverage & Responsibilities:

Inpatient consults and ED STEMI call coverage
Respond to STEMI and ED emergencies
Perform bedside consults and follow-ups
Conduct cardiac catheterizations (diagnostic, low-risk PCI)
Interpret echocardiograms, stress tests, and TEE

Volume & Procedures:

10–12 consults per shift
~3 caths per day
3–5 stress tests, 2 TEEs, 10 echoes daily
Approx. 10 STEMIs per month

Practice Setting:

Inpatient-focused with ED call
Strong support from NPs, RNs, and tech staff
EMR: Meditech, eCW, PK
Hotel accommodations available while on call

Requirements:

Active Georgia medical license required at submission
Board Certified or Board Eligible (<5 years post fellowship)

Additional Details:

Daily rate includes 8 hours of clinical time, with overtime beyond
Minimum of 8 hours onsite clinical work expected daily
Recruiting for permanent providers as well
