Ongoing Weekend Stemi- Call Coverage in Georgia

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for weekend-only call coverage in Georgia. The assignment centers on 24-hour STEMI call, with future weekend dates available as coverage needs continue.

This is straightforward Interventional Cardiology coverage rather than a complex PCI assignment. The cardiologist should be comfortable independently managing routine STEMI intervention and must remain within a 30-minute response radius while on call. More complex cases can be transferred when appropriate.

While covering the weekend, the cardiologist will also handle some General Cardiology responsibilities, including cardiology and interventional consults, rounding on cardiology patients, reading echocardiograms and interpreting stress tests. The STEMI service is not considered especially busy, allowing the role to combine interventional call with the broader weekend cardiology service.

RN and cath lab support are available, and Epic is used. Board-Certified and Board-Eligible Interventional Cardiologists can be considered. ACLS is required.

An active Georgia medical license is required at the time of submission for this particular assignment but we can help with that for IMLC qualified physicians.

This could be a strong fit for an Interventional Cardiologist who prefers defined weekend coverage rather than a traditional full-time locums schedule. If the current dates do not align with your availability, I would still welcome the chance to learn what schedule, clinical mix, call structure and geography make locums worthwhile for you.

My job is to filter assignments for you, not ask you to filter assignments for me.

  • Weekend-only 24-hour STEMI call coverage
  • Straightforward coronary work - complex cases can transfer
  • Cath lab team and RN support
