Interventional Cardiology | Weekday Overnight Backup Call in Georgia

Job description

A large, well-established Georgia health system is seeking a board-certified Interventional Cardiologists for call-only coverage at either of two separate hospital locations south of Atlanta. Physicians may choose one location; covering both is not required.

Locations:
• Fayetteville, Georgia
• Newnan, Georgia

Schedule:
• Monday–Friday
• 5 p.m.–7 a.m.
• Backup call only
• Approximately 2–4 adult patients per day

The Cardiologist will provide backup support for the ED and hospitalist teams across two hospital programs. Typical cases include Impella support, STEMI, high-risk NSTEMI, IABP, and temporary pacing wires. Permanent pacemaker placement is not required.

Practice details:
• Hospital setting
• 225 beds
• Adult patient population
• Epic EMR
• 4 MD's plus APP support

Requirements:
• Board certification required
• Active Georgia license required
• IMLC-eligible physicians may be considered for licensing
• ACLS and BLS required
• DEA required
• Minimum 2 years of experience

Travel and credentialing:
• Flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage provided
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 120 days
