Assignment Overview

Specialty: Cardiology

Provider Type: MD/DO

Start Date: February 14, 2026

Contract Length: Through end of 2026

Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call

Practice Setting: Hospital-based

Schedule

Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Call Requirements:

1 night of call per week

1 weekend per month (negotiable)

Flexibility: Schedule is negotiable

Clinical Details

Patient Volume:

Weekdays: ~15 patients/day

Weekends: Up to 25 patients/day

Patient Population: All ages

Department Scope:

Hospital rounding

Temporary pacemakers

Cardiac catheterizations

Coronary interventions

EKGs and echocardiograms

STEMI coverage

Procedural Skills:

TEE not required, but a plus

EMR: Epic

Coverage Needs

Preferred Coverage: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Additional Consideration:

PRN providers

Call-only providers

Ongoing need through: End of 2026

Requirements

Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible

Licensure:

Active Illinois license required

IMLC candidates considered

DEA: Required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Experience: Minimum 1 year required (no new graduates)

Credentialing

Estimated Timeframe: Approximately 90 days
