New Opportunity in Illinois with Aya Locums: Interventional Cardiology MD

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiologist in Illinois for a hospital-based locum opportunity with an immediate start upon credentialing.

Assignment Details
-Start Date: As soon as credentialed
-Contract Length: 3 months with ongoing coverage available
-Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
-Call: 1 night of call per week and 1 weekend per month (negotiable)
-Coverage Need: Prefer full-time (40 hours/week), but PRN providers will be considered. Coverage needed through the end of 2026.

Practice Details
-Hospital setting
-Average patient volume: 15 patients/day during the week, up to 25/day on weekends
-Responsibilities include hospital rounding, general cardiology, and STEMI/interventional call coverage
-Procedures include temporary pacemakers, cardiac catheterizations, coronary interventions, EKGs, echocardiograms, STEMI care, and TEEs
-EMR: Epic
-Patient Population: All ages

Requirements
-Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology or Nuclear Medicine
-Willing to license
-DEA required
-BLS and ACLS required
-Minimum of 1 year of experience; no new graduates
-Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days
