Job description

Specialty: General/Interventional Cardiology

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6–9 months

Schedule & Shifts

Work Days:

Option 1: 4.5 days/week (8-hour days)

Option 2: 9 out of 10 days (alternating 4- and 5-day weeks)

(They can work 4.5- 8hr days a week or work 4-8 hr days one week and 5-8hr days the next.)

Typical Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Call:

1:2 (patient calls only)

No STEMI call after hours

Weekly Breakdown:

2–3 full days in the office

2 half-days in the cath lab (~8–10 hrs/week)

40-hour workweek

Work Details

Support Staff: RN, MA, NP

Patient Load: ~30 patients/day

Patient Age Range: 18+

Monthly Coverage Needed: Full-time preferred, but minimum 2 weeks/month acceptable

Practice Setting: Small community hospital, Inpatient/Outpatient

Procedures & Skills

Special Procedures:

Cardioversion

Temporary pacemaker placement

Coronary and peripheral interventions

Cardiac diagnostic testing interpretation

Required Skills:

Echo interpretation

Treadmill (TM) test interpretation

Holter monitor interpretation
