Locums – MD – General/Interventional Cardiology – Indiana

Start Date: November 24, 2025
Coverage Type: Scheduled + On-Call
Contract Length: 6–9 months
Shift Schedule: 5×8 Days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Weekly Structure:

Option 1: 4.5 eight-hour days/week

Option 2: Week A: four eight-hour days; Week B: five eight-hour days

Schedule Mix: 2–3 full office days + 2 half days in the Cath Lab (8–10 hrs/week)

Call: 1:2 patient call only; no STEMI call after hours

Work Details

Practice Setting: Community hospital; inpatient and outpatient

Support Staff: RN, MA, NP

Coverage Need: Full-time preferred (will consider 2 weeks/month minimum)

Patient Volume: ~30 patients/day

Patient Population: Adults (18+)

Department: General and Interventional Cardiology

EMR: Meditech

Hospital Size: 78 beds

Procedures:

Cardioversion

Temporary pacemaker placement

Coronary and peripheral interventions

Cardiac diagnostic testing interpretation

Required Skills:

Must be able to interpret echos, treadmill stress tests, and Holter monitors

Equipment: Philips Cath Lab

Requirements

Board Certification: Required

License: Active Indiana medical license required (not willing to license)

DEA: Required

CSR: Required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Experience: Minimum 5+ years

Vaccinations: MMR, Hep B, Influenza, PPD, Varicella, COVID, TDaP

Credentialing

Timeframe: Approximately 60 days
