Locums – MD – General/Interventional Cardiology, Indiana

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 6–9 months

Schedule

4.5 days/week or 9 out of 10 days

Options:

4.5 eight-hour days weekly or

4 eight-hour days one week / 5 eight-hour days the next

Typical hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Weekly structure: 2–3 full days in clinic + 2 half-days in cath lab (8–10 hrs/week)

40-hour workweek

No after-hours STEMI call

Call: 1:2 (patient calls only)

Minimum availability accepted: 2 weeks/month

Coverage Type: Inpatient & outpatient

Patient Volume: ~30 patients/day

Patient Population: Adults 18+

Department: General/Interventional Cardiology

EMR: Meditech

Hospital Size: 78 beds

Support Staff: RN, MA, NP

Procedures & Required Skills

Cardioversion

Temporary pacemaker placement

Coronary and peripheral interventions

Cardiac diagnostic test interpretations

Must interpret:

Echocardiograms

Treadmill stress tests

Holter monitors

Equipment: Philips Cath Lab

Provider Requirements

Board Certified Cardiologist (MD)

Indiana license required (not willing to license)

DEA required

CSR required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Minimum Experience: 5+ years

Mandatory Vaccinations: MMR, Hep B, Influenza, PPD, Varicella, COVID, TDaP

Credentialing

Approx. 60 days
