Locum Physician – Interventional Cardiology | West Burlington, IA | Day Shifts + Call

Position Type: Locum Tenens – Hospital-Based
Shifts: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Day shifts + weekday, weekday night & weekend call (rotated)
Patient Volume: 15–18 adult patients/day
EMR: Cerner (Epic transition 6/2026)

ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW

Hospital-based interventional cardiology coverage

Inpatient, outpatient, and clinic responsibilities

Collaborate with other interventional cardiologists during locum coverage

Rotational call schedule for weekday, weekday night, and weekends

REQUIREMENTS

Board Certified – Interventional Cardiology

Active Iowa license (IMLC not accepted)

ACLS & BLS certification

NPDB self-query (within 30 days of presentation)

Credentialing: ~60–90 days (shorter if already licensed in Iowa)

COMPENSATION & TRAVEL

Hourly rate (submit expected rate)

Travel reimbursed: flight, hotel, rental car, mileage at IRS standard rate
