Interventional Cardiology Locum Tenens – Iowa

We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Iowa. This is a call-focused assignment with a mix of interventional and general cardiology coverage.

Opportunity Highlights
Locum Tenens – 1099
Call coverage only
Weekday call: 8:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Weekend call: Friday 8:00 AM – Monday 8:00 AM
Call shared in rotation with other providers
Outpatient and inpatient responsibilities
Epic EMR
IMLC candidates may be considered for Iowa licensure
Clinical Responsibilities
Diagnostic cardiac catheterizations
Angioplasty and stenting
Stress echocardiography
Nuclear stress testing
Echocardiogram interpretation
Holter and event monitor interpretation
TEE
Cardioversions
Some general cardiology call coverage may be required
Patient Volume
Approximately 12–15 clinic patients
Approximately 5–10 inpatient consults/rounding patients
Requirements
Interventional Cardiology experience
Ability to provide substantial monthly availability
Iowa license preferred; IMLC candidates may be considered
Comfortable covering both interventional and occasional general cardiology call
