Job description

Specialty: Interventional Cardiology

Location: West Burlington, Iowa

Contract Length: Short-term coverage beginning October 2026

Schedule:
• Standard daytime schedule: 9:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Clinic and call coverage on October 30–31; November 1 and 9–15
• Additional clinic and call coverage available January 11–31
• Weekend call-only dates also available
• 24-hour call includes mandatory gratis coverage for the first 0–4 hours
• Providers may not exceed 5 hours of overtime per week

Work Details:
• Manage approximately 12–15 clinic patients per day
• Complete approximately 5–10 inpatient rounds or consultations daily
• Provide diagnostic catheterization, angioplasty and stenting
• Perform TEE studies, cardioversions and stress testing, including stress echocardiography and nuclear stress testing
• Interpret echocardiograms, Holter monitors and event monitors
• Call-back needs vary, with approximately 4–6 hours possible for interventional cases; general call coverage may also be required

Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days
