Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Cardiologist for a remote clinical research opportunity focused on centralized ECG interpretation for regulated clinical trials. This role supports standardized ECG review processes, regulatory compliance, and participation in study-specific training and qualification activities.

Schedule Details
-Remote / Telehealth opportunity
-Flexible workload averaging 10–20 hours per week
-Coverage required Monday–Friday across 5 days per week
-No call responsibilities
-Work volume may ebb and flow based on study activity

Position Responsibilities
-Perform centralized review and interpretation of protocol-specific ECGs for clinical trials
-Evaluate ECG parameters including: Heart rate, PR interval, QRS duration, QT/QTc measurements
-Identify and document abnormalities such as: Arrhythmias, Conduction abnormalities, QT prolongation, Ischemic changes
-Escalate clinically significant findings within protocol-defined timelines
-Maintain consistency and adherence to standardized interpretation methodologies
-Participate in study-specific training and qualification processes

Preferred Experience
-Prior experience with centralized ECG review and/or clinical trials preferred
-Familiarity with: Clinical trial workflows, ALCOA++ principles, Electronic ECG systems, ICH E6 (GCP)
ICH E14 (QT/QTc evaluation), FDA and EMA safety expectations, Audit and regulatory compliance requirements

Requirements
-Board Certified in Cardiology required
-Active medical license in at least one U.S. state required
-Minimum 1 year of experience required
