Position Overview:
A hospital in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for a 1099 assignment with consistent monthly coverage needs. This is a high-impact role with a mix of consults, procedures, and STEMI call coverage across multiple months.
Assignment Highlights:
• Ongoing coverage: September – December
• Average of 3 weeks/month of call coverage
• Mix of weekday shifts + night beeper call + 24-hour weekend call
• 1-hour lunch required Monday–Friday
Schedule Details:
• Weekdays: 7a–4p (onsite) + 4p–7a night STEMI beeper call
• Weekends: 24-hour STEMI call (7a–7a)
• Multiple coverage blocks available across Sept, Oct, Nov, and Dec (see full schedule above)
Work Details:
• Setting: Hospital (Gettysburg Hospital)
• Hospital size: 74 beds
• Patient volume:
~15 consults/day
~3 procedures/day
• Responsibilities: Hospital consults, inpatient & outpatient caths, TEEs, echo reads
• Procedures: Caths, TEEs, cardiac imaging/windows
• EMR: Epic
Practice Setting:
• Hospital-based
Requirements:
• Board Certification: Board Eligible or Certified
• Active Pennsylvania license: Required
• DEA: Required
Credentialing Timeframe:
• ~120 days (temporary privileges available with clean file)
