Locum Interventional Cardiology Need

Must have current Virginia license
Compensation is negotiable

 JOB DETAILS:

Practice Setting: Inpatient/Call

Reason for Coverage: Affiliate Cardiology group possibly departing from the facility

Dates of Coverage: May 1 – June 30, 2026



Schedule: 

Staffed Onsite (Weekdays): Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM 

On-Call (Weekday Evenings): Monday – Friday, 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM 

On-Call (Weekends): Saturday 7:00 AM – Sunday 7:00 AM

Sunday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM



Call Schedule: STEMI call is aligned with unassigned call, and noninvasive coverage. For the month of May, the following days need coverage: 

May: 2, 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29, 31



Call Ratio: Call Ratio: 9 VCS to 7 RHV (TBD)

 Average Number of Clinic Patients Per Day: n/a

 Average Number of Inpatient Admissions Per Physician Per Day: >2 daily

 Trauma Level/Designation:  none

 Total Number of Beds: 250

 Number of ICU Beds: 30

 Number of Interventional Cardiologists in Group: VCS – 18 I.C.s but ~4 I.C.s cover MRMC RHV – 5 I.C.s

 Will Other Interventional Cardiologists be Present During our Locum's Coverage: Yes

 Will the Locum Physician be Required to Supervise Other Health Care Providers: No

 Patient Age Demographic: Adult, geriatric

 Documentation System/EMR: EPIC  



Procedures Required:

Balloon Angioplasties, Coronary Angioplasty, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Heart Catheterization, Medical Management of Vascular Disease, Coronary Angiograms, Embolic Protection, Carotid Artery Stenting, Atherectomy



Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Emergency or Temporary Privileges 

Facility reimbursement for the following costs: Flight, Hotel, Rental Car
