JOB SUMMARY

A locum Interventional Cardiologist is needed to provide inpatient and on-call coverage. The provider will perform interventional procedures, manage adult and geriatric patients, and collaborate with the existing cardiology team to ensure high-quality patient care. Coverage is required due to the potential departure of an affiliate cardiology group.

RESPONSIBILITIES

PRACTICE SETTING

Inpatient and on-call coverage
STEMI call aligned with unassigned call and noninvasive coverage


SCHEDULE & SHIFT DETAILS

Weekday Onsite Coverage: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekday On-Call: Monday – Friday, 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend On-Call:
Saturday 7:00 AM – Sunday 7:00 AM
Sunday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
May Coverage Dates: 2, 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29, 31

Call Ratio: 9 VCS to 7 RHV (TBD)

Interventional Cardiologists on site: Yes

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Board Certified (required)
BLS/ACLS (required)
Active VA state license (required)
Clean malpractice (required)
Self-Query NPDB report within 30 days of presentation (required)


TRAVEL & EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT

Flight, hotel, and rental car reimbursed by facility
