Schedule:
Monday–Friday
7 AM–5 PM: Onsite coverage
5 PM–7 AM: On-call coverage

Weekend
Saturday 7 AM–Monday 7 AM: On-call

Some rounding responsibilities may be required.

Call Details
STEMI call aligned with unassigned call and noninvasive coverage
Call ratio: approximately 9 VCS to 7 RHV
Other Interventional Cardiologists will be present during coverage
No supervision of other healthcare providers required
2025 STEMI activations: 159, with approximately 47% cancellation rate
Providers are expected to receive more phone calls than emergent callbacks

Facility:
250 total beds
30 ICU beds
Adult & geriatric patient population
No trauma designation
Approximately 2+ inpatient admissions per physician per day
Epic documentation system
Required Procedures
Balloon angioplasty
Coronary angioplasty
PCI
Heart catheterization
Coronary angiography
Embolic protection
Carotid artery stenting
Atherectomy
Medical management of vascular disease

Requirements:
Board Certified – Required
Active Virginia license – Required
BLS/ACLS – Required
Clean malpractice history – Required
NPDB Self-Query within 30 days – Required at presentation
Must be available for the entire listed coverage period – No exceptions

• Inpatient + on-call coverage
