Specialty: Interventional Cardiology
Start Date: 02/23/2026
Contract Length: 3 months, ongoing
Coverage Type: Cath lab coverage with on-call responsibilities

Schedule

Weekdays: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Cath Lab)

Weeknight Call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Weekend Call: 24-hour call, Saturday & Sunday (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

Call Ratio: 1:2–3

Coverage Model: Fill-in coverage to support schedule gaps (full-time hours not guaranteed)

Providers with limited availability are encouraged to submit availability details

Practice Setting

Setting: Hospital-based

Patient Population: Adult to geriatric

Work Details

Support Staff: Team of 7 physicians and 3 APPs

Procedures per Day: Approximately 3 cath procedures/day

EMR: Epic

Procedures Required:

Diagnostic and interventional coronary catheterizations

Right heart catheterizations (Swan-Ganz placement)

Temporary pacemaker placement

Intra-aortic balloon pump placement

Provider must be fully comfortable performing all listed procedures independently

Requirements

Board Certification: Required

ABIM-certified in General Cardiology

Interventional Cardiology fellowship required

License: Active Wisconsin license required

IMLC not accepted

DEA: Required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Minimum Experience: At least 1 year post-training

Travel & Credentialing


Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 45–60 days
