Job description

Position Highlights:
•Start and End Date: 11/1/2026 - 1/1/2028
•Schedule Details: 7 days on; Monday 6:00 AM through the following Monday 7:00 AM. Day shifts are 0700-1800, inclusive of one weekday NOC call shift and one weekend NOC call shift.
•Coverage needed per month: Coverage for the inpatient service model for Non-Invasive/General Cardiology. Day coverage is 0700-1800 during a 7-day block from Monday 6:00 AM through the following Monday 7:00 AM. Includes inpatient ECHO and EKG readings, one weeknight NOC call, and one weekend NOC call.
Frequency of any Call needed: One NOC weeknight call and one NOC weekend call per 7-day block.

Work Details:
•Support staff: Inpatient service model is completed with 1 physician and 3 APPs. Intensivists, RNs, and cardiac imaging technicians are also available.
•Department Description: General cardiology inpatient service model with ECHO and EKG interpretation/readings. Provider will round with the APP team.
•Patient Volume: Inpatient volume fluctuates from approximately 7-22 patients per day.
•Patient Age Group: Adults only
•EMR/Documentation System: EPIC
•Special Procedures: General/non-invasive cardiology, including chest pain/ACS, heart failure management, hypertension/dyslipidemia, atrial fibrillation/other arrhythmias, valve disease, EKG interpretation, stress testing (treadmill, nuclear, and echo), echocardiogram interpretation, and Holter/event monitor interpretation.

Requirements:
•Provider type: MD/DO
•Board Certifications Req'd: Board Certified in Cardiology required
•Fellowship Req'd: General Cardiology; Cardiac Imaging preferred/accepted per specialty profile
•State License(s) Req'd: Wisconsin state license
•Certifications Req'd: BLS and ACLS
•Specific Skills Req'd: General/non-invasive cardiology with inpatient rounding and •ECHO/EKG interpretation
•DEA Req'd: Yes
•Minimum Experience Req'd (# of years): 2
•Must be able to supervise APPs. Shared team caseload. Average outpatient volume listed as 15 visits/day if clinic coverage is needed. Facility trauma level is II.
•Credentialing/Privileging Timeframe: 90 days
