Hawaii Interventional Radiologist Locum Need

Job description

Schedule: Monday – Friday from 8a-5pm (1 hour paid lunch)

Details:

Interventional Radiology

10% inpatient

90% outpatient

100% procedure

This is a small 35 bed facility

No weekends. No call.

No neuro, cardiac, vascular, no complex procedures. Have to do everything yet volume is still low.

Mammo skills preferred but not required.



Preferred Qualifications:

5 years of inpatient/outpatient IR experience preferred

2-3 years of inpatient/outpatient experience in a multi-hospital health system

Health care experience in a rural community



Position Responsibilities:

Provides inpatient and outpatient interventional radiology services through direct patient care utilizing minimally invasive image guided procedures to diagnose and to treat diseases in nearly every organ system minimizing risk to patients and improving health outcomes. NO: Neurology/Cardiology; very little arterial; no vascular.

1. Provides high quality therapeutic and diagnostic services comprised of a wide range of minimally invasive image-guided procedures as well as interpretation of medical images and invasive diagnostic imaging at the request of ER physicians and QNHCH medical staff.

2. Provides image-guided therapeutic and diagnostic procedures for a range of diseases and organs, including but not limited to, vascular, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, genitourinary, pulmonary, and musculoskeletal using imaging modalities such as fluoroscopy, x-ray, MRI, CT, and ultrasound to treat a variety of diseases.

3. Administers treatments to patients that can include biopsies, drainage catheter placements, port and PICC line placement, nerve block, and bone/joint injections.
