Interventional Radiology Locums Opportunity – Rockville, MD

Highlights:
• Full-time Interventional Radiology assignment starting August 31
• Six-month contract with ongoing call coverage opportunities
• Maryland location with licensing assistance available

Opportunity Details

Location: Rockville, MD

Start Date: August 31

Assignment Length: 6 Months

Schedule:
• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weeknight and weekend call coverage required
• Call rotation covers two hospitals
• Typical call week begins Monday at 8:00 AM and ends the following Monday at 8:00 AM

Practice Details:
• Approximately 10–15 procedures per day in the hospital
• Approximately 8–13 procedures per day in the outpatient center
• Call-ins are infrequent, averaging approximately once every three weeks

Responsibilities Include:
• Interventional Radiology procedures
• Patient rounds
• Joint aspirations
• Thyroid biopsies
• Lumbar punctures
• Dialysis graft procedures
• Vascular and CTA imaging interpretation
• Specialty consultations
• Additional IR procedures and coverage as needed

Call Expectations:
• Weekday call: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Weekend call: Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 8:00 AM
• 15-minute telephone response time required
• Ability to be onsite within 60 minutes when clinically necessary

Requirements:
• Board Certified Interventional Radiologist
• Active State License or willingness to obtain one
• DEA Required
• CSR Required

Credentialing:
• Approximately 90 days
• Facility willing to license
