# Interventional Radiologist – Locum Tenens Opportunity

## 🩺 JOB OVERVIEW

A healthcare organization is seeking a **Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist** to provide temporary locum tenens coverage. This is an onsite position supporting both inpatient and outpatient interventional radiology services.

The assignment offers intermittent weekday coverage with additional night and weekend call responsibilities. The incoming physician will provide a broad range of interventional procedures while collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team.

## 📅 SCHEDULE & CALL

### Day Coverage

* Monday–Friday
* 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
* Onsite coverage required

### Call Coverage

* **Weeknight Call:** 5:00 PM–8:00 AM
* **Weekend Call:** 24-hour call coverage
* Call type: Beeper/Phone Call
* Average callback requirement: Approximately 0–2 hours

Specific coverage dates will be provided based on ongoing scheduling needs.

## 🩻 CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES & PROCEDURES

The Interventional Radiologist will perform a range of image-guided and minimally invasive procedures, including:

* Angioplasty
* Embolization
* Port and catheter placement
* Biopsies
* Drainage procedures
* Ablation procedures
* Kyphoplasty

The physician will provide comprehensive interventional radiology services to adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

* Inpatient and outpatient interventional radiology services
* Approximately 70% outpatient and 30% inpatient care
* Adult patient population
* Approximately 12 patients per day

## ✅ QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

* **Board Certified in Interventional Radiology – Required**
* **BLS Certification – Required**
* **ACLS Certification – Required**
* **DEA Registration – Required**
* State medical license preferred
* Minimum **2 years of professional experience – Required**
* Ability to provide a broad range of interventional radiology procedures
* Experience with Epic EMR preferred
