Job description
Position Overview
Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to join a well-established perinatal program in Pennsylvania. This consultative MFM opportunity offers flexible scheduling ranging from one week per month to full-time coverage, with a strong focus on advanced ultrasound, high-risk pregnancy management, and fetal diagnostics.
Assignment Details
Contract Length: Ongoing
Coverage Need: Flexible scheduling available
Will consider providers for as little as 1 week per month up to full-time coverage
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Night and weekend call available and preferred, but not required
Practice Setting
Outpatient MFM Clinic
Level III Pediatric Services
EMR: Epic
Adult obstetric patient population
Approximately 25 patients per day
Clinical Responsibilities
Maternal Fetal Medicine consultations
High-risk pregnancy management
Advanced ultrasound performance and interpretation
Level II targeted ultrasound studies
Fetal echocardiography
Genetic counseling and amniocentesis
Management of complex maternal medical conditions during pregnancy
Clinical Conditions Encountered
Pregnancy-induced hypertension
HELLP syndrome
Type I, Type II, and gestational diabetes
Cardiac disorders (Class II and higher)
Pulmonary disorders
Renal disorders
Neurological disorders
Autoimmune disorders
Hematologic and oncologic disorders
Placenta previa and placental abruption
Multiple gestation pregnancies
Support Team
2 Registered Nurses
2 Medical Assistants
2 Advanced Practice Providers
Collaborative multidisciplinary maternal-fetal care environment
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
Active Pennsylvania license required
DEA required
BLS required
Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
Strong ultrasound diagnostic and interpretation skills highly preferred
Credentialing
Approximately 90-day credentialing process
Temporary privileges available for providers with a clean file
