Physician (MD) - Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Job Details:
- Provide outpatient consultations and obstetrical ultrasound services with 8-15 patient encounters per shift
- Provide inpatient MFM coverage including antepartum/postpartum rounding, consults, cerclages, and some deliveries
- Weekday outpatient hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break
- Weekday inpatient hours: 6:45 AM - 5:30 PM
- Weekend coverage includes Friday 5:30 PM - Saturday 7:00 AM MFM beeper call/backup, Saturday rounds, and Sunday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM MFM beeper call/backup
- Home night call, Labor and Delivery backup call, and weekend inpatient rounds required
- Supervise MFM APPs, fellows, and residents
- Manage pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) and HELLP syndrome
- Manage diabetes (Type I, II, and gestational) and cardiac disorders (Class II or higher)
- Manage pulmonary, renal, neurological, autoimmune, hematologic/oncologic disorders, and collagen vascular disease
- Perform and manage VBACs, vaginal breech deliveries, and C-sections
- Manage placenta previa/abruption and multiple gestation pregnancies
- Perform instrument-assisted deliveries including forceps and vacuum
- Perform amniocentesis (genetic) and cervical cerclage procedures
- Perform and interpret ultrasounds including Level II/Targeted studies
- Must hold an active Pennsylvania medical license
- Board certification required; estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days

Compensation:
