Full Time geneticist needed at top children's hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Anticipated Start Date: 08/03/2026
Contract Length: 6 months on-going of scheduled and on- call
Shift Details: Mon-Thurs 8a-5p (on call TBD)
Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, Level IV NICU - 200+ pediatric specialities

• Support staff: genetic counselors, genetic nurse, genetic counseling assistant
• Coverage Type: outpatient clinic+inpatient consults+ call
• Schedule Details: Monday-Thursday 8a-5p
Work Details:
• Facility Type: academic/hospital based outpatient clinic
• Practice Setting: outpatient with inpatient consults
• EMR/Charting Software: EPIC
• Vaccines Mandatory? Flu
• Avg. Daily Census: 4-5 per day, may increase with additional provider
• Beds: 195 beds
• Patient Age Group: primary peds with occasional adult
• Procedures: General genetics evaluations, biochemical/metabolic disorder management, inpatient consults (PICU,NICU,pediatric ward)
• Strong diagnostic skills in in genetics, experience with metabolic conditions, ability to collaborate with genetic counselors REQUIRED
Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d/Preferred: BC in genetics required
• State License(s): MO and IL (for occasional telehealth consults), will accept licensure candidates
• Certifications: BLS
• CSR Req’d: Yes, BNDD
• DEA Req’d?: Yes
• Years of Experience:2 years minimum
Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days

Willing To License?: Yes! Strong preference for candidates to also have an IL license for those who are patients but cannot make it into the office so they can provide telehealth.
