Locum Metabolic Geneticist | Academic Medical Center | Richmond, VA | 1 Week per Month

Job description

Start: December 14, 2026
Length: 6 months to 1 year
Coverage: Clinic plus call, with some telehealth coverage
Schedule: 1 week per month - Monday (full-day clinic), Tuesday (half-day clinic), Thursday (full-day clinic); all other days and nights that week are call
Telehealth: Possible additional telehealth days during the rest of the month (schedule TBD)
Volume: 1-2 patients per day
Patient Population: All ages, newborn to end of life
Practice Setting: Academic/training hospital, 865 beds
EMR: Epic
Support: 2 other physicians and a PA

Requirements:
- Board certified in Metabolic/Obesity Medicine; Genetics-boarded physicians with extensive metabolic experience may be considered
- Must have metabolic experience
- Virginia license required (will license)
- DEA required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Credentialing: approximately 120 days
