Hematology/Oncology NP/PA Needed – Bay Area, CA
Start Date: July 2026
Contract Length: 6 months ongoing
Full-time coverage needed
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5x8s
No weekends or call
Generally closed on holidays
Practice Setting:
Outpatient hospital-based oncology setting
Adult patient population
Approximately 6–8 scheduled patients per day
EMR: Epic
Support staff includes RNs, MAs, and Attendings
Department Details:
Most patient volume is Breast and GU Oncology
GU Oncology makes up most of the patient population
Attending physicians complete all new patient consults
APPs manage:
follow-up visits
symptom management
long-term follow-up care
emergent add-on support
escalation management
in-basket management
No procedures required
Ideal Skills:
Strong Epic experience
Strong technical/computer skills
Organized and comfortable managing in-basket workflows
Comfortable working in a fast-paced academic medical center environment
Requirements:
Board Certification required
Active California license required
CA DEA with Schedule II required
BLS required
Minimum 2–3 years of recent Oncology NP/PA experience required
Outpatient/ambulatory oncology experience preferred
Will also consider inpatient oncology experience
Radiation Oncology experience preferred but not required
Academic medical center experience strongly preferred
