Physician Assistant– Outpatient Medical Oncology
Location: San Francisco, CA
Start Date: 7/13/2026
Contract Length: 6 months; potential ongoing need

Schedule

Monday–Friday
4×10 schedule
Three days onsite per week
No weekends
No call
Full‑time only


Practice Details

Outpatient medical oncology department
Patient volume: ~8–10 adult patients/day
Mix includes follow‑ups, symptom management, and urgent add‑ons
No procedures
Specialty focus: medical oncology (GU oncology department)
Support team: attending physicians, RNs, MAs
EMR: Epic
Single outpatient department


Clinical Scope

Conduct follow‑up visits and symptom management
Manage medical oncology patients across adult populations
Provide urgent evaluations and support for same‑day add‑ons
Coordinate escalations and manage in‑basket responsibilities
Develop and document care plans in Epic
Collaborate with oncology attendings and support staff to maintain efficient patient flow


Requirements

Physician Assistant — Hematology/Oncology
Valid California PA license required
CA DEA with Schedule II authority required
AHA BLS required
Accepted PA board certs: Masters degree in physician assistant studies required.
Minimum 1–2 years recent outpatient medical oncology experience required
Strong medical oncology background required
GU oncology experience not required
Academic medical center experience preferred
Epic experience strongly preferred


Credentialing

Estimated 60–90 days
Provider must submit all demographic/licensing documents within 72 hours of offer to initiate privileging
1–2 interviews expected
