This well-established regional medical center houses a comprehensive oncology program supported by a robust multidisciplinary team. The facility features a dedicated radiation oncology department equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including multiple linear accelerators, HDR equipment, and an onsite CT simulator, all supported by an engaged team of specialists, advanced practitioners, and support staff committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Opportunity:
Physician - Radiation Oncology

Job Details:

  • Join an established radiation oncology team consisting of 2 radiation oncologists, 4 hematology oncologists, 7 advanced practitioners, and dedicated support staff
  • Board certified or board eligible candidates are welcome to apply
  • Access to 3 Nurse Navigators specializing in Breast, Lung, and General Oncology, along with a dedicated Genetics APN and 2 Research Nurses
  • Collaborate with a dedicated Breast Surgeon and dedicated Head and Neck Surgeon on site
  • Call coverage limited to one hospital, which is directly attached to the clinic
  • All Varian platform with 2 linear accelerators, including the state-of-the-art Varian TrueBeam STX and Varian 21EX
  • HDR equipment available on site
  • Onsite Philips Big Bore Brilliance CT Simulator
  • Multidisciplinary tumor board held on site weekly
  • Teaching affiliation with Arkansas Osteopathic School of Medicine with the ability to host medical students and receive a stipend
  • Opportunity to collaborate with Fort Smith Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residency programs
  • System-wide EPIC EMR platform utilized across the organization
  • Diverse case mix driven by a 13-county rural catchment area
  • Preferred specialty skills include brachytherapy, external beam therapy, IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS, and treatment planning including 3D CRT, PET CT/MRI image fusion, and clinical trials
  • Credentialing timeframe approximately 60-90 days
  • Permanent, ongoing position starting as soon as possible
