Medical Oncology Locums | Outpatient + No Call | Kentucky

Job description

We are seeking a Medical Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a primarily outpatient academic oncology position with flexible monthly scheduling and no required call.

Assignment Details
Location: Lexington, KY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Coverage Need: Minimum 1 week/month (ideal availability is 2–4 weeks/month)
Call: No call required
Optional inpatient/night/weekend coverage opportunities may be available

Practice Setting:
Academic/teaching environment
Primarily outpatient oncology practice
Adult patient population
EMR: Epic
Case Mix: GI Oncology, GU Oncology, Breast Oncology, Lung Oncology

Work Details:
Approximately 16 patients per day
Mix of new patient consults and follow-up visits
Strong support staff including: Administrative assistants, Nursing assistants, RNs, APP support (APRN and/or PA-C)

Requirements:
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Medical Oncology
New graduates welcome
Active Kentucky license or IMLC preferred (open to licensing as well)
Kentucky DEA required
Epic experience preferred

Additional Information:
Credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days
Travel, lodging, and rental car covered
