Job description

We are actively seeking a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist for an ongoing locums opportunity in Minnesota. This position offers a mix of inpatient and outpatient coverage, strong APP support, and flexible scheduling.

Position Highlights
• ASAP start available
• Minnesota license or IMLC required
• Board Certification in Medical Oncology and Hematology required
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• EPIC EMR

Clinical Responsibilities
• Lead the inpatient Medical Oncology service
• Manage inpatient malignant oncology cases
• Perform hematology consultations across a broad range of conditions
• See new oncology consults
• Supervise APPs
• Experience with both malignant and benign oncology required

Schedule & Call
Inpatient Coverage:
• 8–10-hour days
• Overnight call taken from home
• Medical Oncology calls only
• Nurse triage and hospitalist support keep call volume minimal

Outpatient Coverage:
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Medical Oncology and Hematology clinic coverage
• No required outpatient call
• Additional outpatient shifts available if desired

Support & Volume
• 20–25 patients per day
• 1 APP Monday–Friday
• Weekend APP support available

Requirements:
• Board Certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology
• Active Minnesota license or IMLC
