Locums Neonatology NP Needed in Sacramento, CA

Specialty: Neonatology Nurse Practitioner
Start Date: 4/20/26
Contract Length: Locums will work through June
Shift Details: 4-5 shifts per month. 12 hour shifts
Schedule: Nights, 5:30p-6:00a

Work Details:
· Amount of coverage needed per month: full time, 3x12’s per week
· Patient population/age: Neonates
· Department description: the NNP will not be caring for ECMO pts, but must have all other NICU procedures for credentialing. Level IV NICU intensive care unit. Care for extremely low birth weight infants, infants with birth trauma, asphyxia and infants with urgent surgical need.
· EMR: Epic EMR
· Special procedures: Neonatal resuscitation, intubation, surfactant administration, line placement – UAC, UVC, PAL, PICC placement, Needle thoracentesis, chest tube insertion, lumbar puncture, exchange transfusion.

Requirements:
· Board Certification: Yes. PALS , BLS – must be AHA certs. NRP certification is required.
· State license required: Yes
· Minimum experience required: At Least 2 years experience.
Credentialing Timeframe: 30-45 days
