Level IV NICU
Patient population: Newborns and infants, birth through 1 year
Primary assignment within a 58-bed Level IV Newborn ICU
May have opportunities to work across two Level IV NICU facilities
Epic EMR

Providers will function as an integral member of the NICU care team and take primary responsibility for the safe delivery of care to hospitalized newborns and infants.

ECMO: Locums will not directly cover patients while on ECMO, as these patients are managed by the NICU Fellow. Providers may care for these patients immediately before and after ECMO.

Providers may also be cross-trained to assist with newborn nursery coverage as needed.

🏥 Unit Details
Primary Level IV NICU: 58 beds
Secondary Level IV NICU: 38 beds
Newborn Nursery: 10+ patients/provider when applicable
✅ Requirements
NP or PA
Board Certification in Neonatal care required
Active California license required
DEA required
Must be comfortable caring for high-acuity neonatal patients
Must be willing to work a rotating schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays

• 13 weeks with option to extend
• No on call
