Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal

Job Details:

• Join a highly skilled neonatal APP team at a community hospital focused on collaboration and meaningful patient and family connections
• Provides coverage for both well-baby nursery and NICU, including daily patient management, admissions, discharge planning, and attendance at high-risk deliveries
• Independent in-house coverage after 4 PM with 24/7 neonatology support available
• Perform advanced neonatal procedures including intubation, umbilical line placement, lumbar punctures, chest tubes, thoracentesis, and neonatal resuscitation
• Role is open to Physician Assistants
• Inpatient, neonatal setting
• Full-time nights with a flexible schedule and premium differentials offered
• No call required
• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with physician(s) and care team members, including referrals to specialists as appropriate
• Identify and refer problems outside of scope of practice to appropriate physician
• Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
• Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner required
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant in surgery or a related setting required
