This facility is part of a leading healthcare network providing comprehensive neonatal services to the community. The medical center features a 28-bed Level III NICU with an average daily census of approximately 19 patients, supporting around 2,700 annual deliveries with strong physician support and excellent subspecialty resources.
Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Job Details:
• Provide advanced neonatal care within a 28-bed Level III NICU environment
• Participate in an in-house NNP model delivering 24/7 coverage with physician support
• Manage an average daily NICU census of approximately 19 patients
• Support approximately 2,700 annual deliveries
• Perform daily neonatal rounding and comprehensive patient management
• Deliver acute NICU care for critically ill neonates
• Attend high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitations
• Perform neonatal procedures based on clinical competency and experience
• Collaborate closely with neonatologists and multidisciplinary NICU staff
• Exercise strong clinical judgment and autonomous NNP decision-making
• Work alongside a dedicated neonatal transport team
• Utilize full pediatric and neonatal subspecialty support services
• Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented practice environment
• Potentially participate in educational opportunities with rotating medical students
• Deliver evidence-based neonatal care focused on quality, safety, and patient outcomes
• Must maintain current APRN national specialty certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
• Minimum Master's Degree in Nursing required
• Florida APRN License or eligibility to obtain required
• Neonatal/NICU clinical experience required
• Flexible 24-hour scheduling promoting work-life balance
• Permanent, full-time position requiring local residency
