This facility is a nationally recognized metropolitan hospital system providing the highest level of neonatal care in one of the region's most respected maternity and newborn care centers. The Level III NICU supports 1,400-1,500 NICU/SCN admissions annually and operates within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment committed to excellence, innovation, and compassionate care for medically fragile newborns.
Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Job Details:
• Provide advanced neonatal care in a Level III NICU
• Manage care for critically ill and premature newborns in a high-volume NICU/SCN with 1,400-1,500 annual admissions
• Work in a multidisciplinary team including neonatologists, pediatric intensivists, newborn nursery pediatricians, nurse practitioners, and research nurses
• Deliver individualized, evidence-based care to medically complex newborns
• Participate in collaborative clinical decision-making for NICU patients
• Support newborn stabilization, treatment planning, and ongoing intensive care management
• Work 24-hour NICU shifts with schedule flexibility
• Engage in a supportive, well-established practice with strong hospital and community integration
• Contribute to a fast-growing neonatal program with expanding coverage needs
• New graduates encouraged to apply and receive mentorship in a high-acuity environment
• Current APRN national specialty certification required
• Minimum of a master's degree required
• Georgia medical license highly preferred
• Neonatology training/fellowship required with no exemptions
• Clean malpractice/license history highly preferred
• DEA license must be obtained prior to start
