Facility:
This healthcare facility features a well-established Level III NICU that has been serving the community since the early 1970s. The facility operates in a new hospital building as of 2019, with a highly knowledgeable RN staff with strong clinical skills who work excellently as a team, supported by integral respiratory therapy team members.
Opportunity:
Advanced Practice (NP) - Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Job Details:
• Work 24-hour shifts with 6am-6pm in-facility coverage and 6pm-6am on-call responsibilities
• Schedule includes August 5 orientation, August 6-19, and ongoing 10-14 days per month
• Manage approximately 10 patient encounters per shift in a 21-bed department
• Board certification in Neonatology preferred or Board Eligible with NRP certification required
• Perform advanced procedures including intubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, paracentesis, spinal taps, exchange transfusion, and thermal cooling
• Manage ventilator care including oscillators and iNO
• Treat Level III NICU cases without surgical sub-specialties including Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Pulmonary Hypertension, Pneumothorax, Sepsis, and Seizures
• Stabilize surgical cases for transport and manage VLBW and NAS patients
• Utilize full diagnostic equipment including MRI, CT, EEG with Cerner EHR system
• Collaborate with general pediatrics, pediatric neurology, infectious disease, and consultation services with University of Michigan specialists
• Must maintain active Michigan medical license
• PALS certification required with 60-day credentialing timeframe

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
