Level IV NICU NP/PA Opportunity – Columbus, OH | High-Acuity Neonatal Care

Job description

A nationally recognized children's hospital is seeking two Neonatal Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for a 6-month locum assignment beginning this fall. This opportunity is ideal for experienced neonatal providers who thrive in a high-acuity Level IV NICU and are comfortable performing advanced neonatal procedures.

Providers will care for neonates across a wide range of gestational ages and complex diagnoses while working alongside a robust multidisciplinary team. Straight night schedules may be considered if preferred.

Start Date: 10/12/2026
Contract Length: 6 months
Schedule:
• (3) 12 hours Rotating shifts, Full Time (weekly)
• Shift times are 6a-6:30p/6p-630a (open to straight nights if preferred)
• Minimum commitment of 8 shifts per month
Practice Setting: Children's hospital – Level IV NICU
Patient Volume: Average daily census of 10–12 patients per provider
Support Staff:
• 8–9 APPs on day shift
• 3 APPs on night shift
• Dedicated neonatal transport team
EMR: Epic
Procedures Required: Intubations, Chest Tubes, and Arterial Line placement
Requirements:
• Board Certified Neonatal NP or PA
• Minimum 2 years of recent Level IV NICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and DEA required
• Willing to license with eNLC
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 6-8 weeks
