Locums Neonatal NP Needed in Richmond, VA

Job description

Specialty: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Start Date: ASAP (with credentialing not sure we’ll make the requested start date but we can try)
Contract Length: 6 months
Shift Details: need days, nights, weekends, and holidays – no call requirements
Schedule: 10 hour day shifts or 15 hour night shifts, they will not do 24 hour shifts at all

Work Details:
• Support staff:
• Amount of coverage needed per month: Full-time coverage needed
• Patients per day: 7-8
• Patient population/age:
• Department description: Level IV - Manage and care for infants with a wide range of gestational ages and diagnoses.
• EMR: EPIC (will train if needed but prefer they have experience)
• Hospital bed size:
• Special procedures: Umbilical vein and artery catheterization, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, endotracheal intubation
• Skills required: Must have at least two years of recent Level IV experience. Must have L&D delivery experience. Newborn nursery consults needed. No prenatal consults needed.

Requirements:
• Board Certification: required
• State license required: required
• DEA: required
• Certifications required: ACLS. BLS, PALS, NRP – Neonatal NP certification required
