NNP – Level II NICU & Nursery (Night Shifts | Travel Covered)

Job description

Position: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
Setting: Level II NICU + Level II Nursery
Shift: 16-hour night shifts

📅 Assignment Details
Schedule: Night coverage
Shift Length: 16 hours
Coverage: Ongoing (schedule TBD)
🏥 Practice Setting
NICU Level: Level II
Nursery Level: Level II
Support Structure:
Neonatologist on call (backup from home)
2 neonatologists onsite during the day
3 NNPs covering nights
🩺 Work Details
Nursery Census: 8–10 patients
Level II NICU Census: 2–4 patients

Responsibilities Include:
Managing NICU and nursery patients overnight
Attending deliveries
Providing neonatal stabilization and care
Collaborating with neonatology team
👥 Team Environment
Strong nighttime NNP team (3 providers)
Physician backup available as needed
Collaborative and supportive structure
✅ Requirements
Experience in Level II NICU required
NNP certification required
Comfortable attending deliveries
⏱️ Credentialing
Timeline: ~3 months

• 13 weeks with option to extend
• No on call
