Neonatology NP/PA Needed in Charlottesville, VA
Start Date: 9/14/2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks with option to extend
Shift Details: 12h shifts, must be willing to rotate day/night, part-time and PRN shifts.
patient load: 8 mixed acuity patients on day shift & 20-30 on night shift
Schedule: This need is for 3-5 shifts a month, 12 hours shifts, must be willing to rotate days, nights, and weekends **Primarily night shift needed**
Work Details:
· Support staff: TBD
· Amount of coverage needed per month: 3-5 shifts/month
· Patients per day: 8 mixed acuity patients on day shift
· Patient population/age: Infants/Neonates
· Department description: NICU
· EMR: EPIC
· Hospital bed size: 64 beds
· Special procedures: ECMO support (patients are managed by Fellows), Intubation, Lines, Lumbar puncture, Vent mgmt..,PICC, UAC and UVC
· Skills required: High risk deliveries experience is needed. Must have level 4 NICU experience and able to work independently/autonomously

Requirements:
· Board Certification: Yes, Neonatology
· License required: Yes, State of VA
· DEA: Yes
· CSR: Yes
· Certifications preferred: BLS, PALS
· Certifications required: BLS, PALS
· Minimum experience required: 2 years’ experience in NICU, needs to be neonatal trained
Credentialing Timeframe:
45-60 days, depending on VA state licensing. VA state licensing is behind taking approx. 8 weeks currently
