NICU Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Virginia! -Part Time Locums

Job description

Seeking an experienced Neonatal Physician Assistant for a Level IV NICU locums assignment in Virginia. WILLING TO LICENSE

Location: Charlottesville, VA
Contract Length: 13 weeks with option to extend
Coverage Needed: 3-5 shifts per month
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts
- Must be willing to rotate days, nights, and weekends
- Primarily night shift coverage needed

Hospital-based Level IV NICU
- 64-bed facility
- EMR: Epic
- Neonate/Infant patient population

Patient Volume
- Days: 8 mixed-acuity patients
- Nights: 20-30 patients

Required Skills & Procedures:
- High-risk delivery experience
- Independent/autonomous practice in a Level IV NICU
- Intubation
- Ventilator management
- Lumbar punctures
- PICC placement
- UAC/UVC line placement
- ECMO support experience preferred (managed by Fellows)

Requirements:
Active Virginia license
DEA & CSR required
BLS and PALS required
Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
Neonatal-trained provider required

Credentialing/Licensing
- 45-60 days credentialing
- Virginia licensing currently averaging approximately 8 weeks
