Neonatology NP/PA Needed in Charlottesville, VA
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Length: 13 weeks with option to extend
Employment: Locum Tenens – 1099
Coverage: Scheduled clinical hours with no call
Schedule: 5 shifts per month
Shifts: 12-hour shifts
Schedule Requirements: Must be willing to rotate days, nights, and weekends
Primary Need: Primarily night shift coverage
Setting: Hospital / NICU
Hospital Bed Size: 64 beds
Patient Population: Neonates and infants
Patient Volume: Approximately 8 mixed-acuity patients on day shift and 20–30 patients on night shift
EMR: Epic required
Experience: Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
Training: Must be neonatal trained
Recent Experience: Must have Level IV NICU experience within the past year
Practice Ability: Must be able to work independently/autonomously
Delivery Experience: High-risk delivery experience required
Procedures/Skills: Intubation, lines, lumbar puncture, ventilator management, PICC, UAC, UVC, and ECMO support
ECMO: Patients receiving ECMO support are managed by Fellows
Board Certification: Neonatology board certification required
Certifications: BLS and PALS required
DEA: Required
Virginia CSR: Required
Virginia License: Required by start date; client is open to licensing
Licensing Timeframe: Virginia licensing is currently estimated at approximately 8 weeks
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 45–60 days, depending on Virginia licensing
Vaccinations: COVID-19 and flu required; requisition states no exemptions
No Call Required
