Neonatologist needed in DC!
Job description
Specialty: Neonatology (NICU)
Start Date: Mid-May to Mid-June, depending on credentialing timeline
Contract Length: 2 months, with potential to extend
Shift Details: Flexible scheduling; 12-hour or 24-hour shifts available, covering both days and nights
Location: New site launch
NICU Level: Level II
NICU Census: 6-bed unit, up to 15 patients in NICU and 5–10 in the nursery
Call Requirement: None
Must Have Skills:
Ability to resuscitate
Must be physically present in the delivery room (DR)
Prior experience in a Level II NICU
Certifications Required: NRP
Certifications Not Required: NIB care certification
Interview Process:
Phone interview with Chief of Regional-Based Specialties
Clinical background and scenario-based questions
Reference checks with 1–2 contacts
Offer typically extended within 72 business hours after references
Board Certification: Required in Neonatology
License: DC license required (not open to licensing)
Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days
