Facility:
This prestigious medical facility features a state-of-the-art 70-bed Level III NICU within a modern 50,000 sq. ft. facility that opened in 2019. As one of Georgia's six designated perinatal/neonatal regional centers and a Level I trauma center, the facility provides the most advanced neonatal care technologies and maintains strong academic partnerships with Mercer University School of Medicine.
Opportunity:
Physician - Neonatology
Job Details:
• Provide comprehensive neonatal care within a state-of-the-art 70-bed Level III NICU
• Manage critically ill and premature newborns requiring advanced neonatal therapies
• Utilize advanced NICU technologies including high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, and total body cooling
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 7 neonatologists, 6 neonatal nurse practitioners, and pediatric subspecialists
• Work with pediatric surgery support and maternal-fetal medicine specialists
• Participate in attractive rounding and shared call schedule with team rotation
• Practice within one of Georgia's six designated perinatal/neonatal regional centers
• Participate in teaching opportunities through academic appointment with Mercer University School of Medicine
• Educate and mentor pediatric residents in a collaborative physician culture
• Focus exclusively on NICU responsibilities with no newborn nursery duties required
• Support evidence-based neonatal care initiatives and quality improvement efforts
• Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
• Requires Georgia Medical License and completed Neonatology fellowship training
• Must have clean malpractice/license history and current DEA registration
• J1 visa candidates accepted for this permanent, full-time position
• Relocation to immediate local area required
