This premier children's hospital operates a state-of-the-art 92-bed Level IV NICU, serving as the major regional referral center for neonatal care in Southeast Georgia. The facility is part of a large healthcare network that provides exceptional clinical resources, strong institutional support, and a collaborative environment focused on delivering the highest level of neonatal care.

Opportunity:
Physician - Neonatology

Job Details:
• Provide specialized neonatal intensive care in a 92-bed Level IV NICU at a major regional referral center
• Manage high-acuity neonatal cases in a state-of-the-art NICU facility
• Participate in 24/7 in-house coverage alongside neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners (NNPs)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including 9 neonatologists and 8 experienced NNPs
• Work closely with pediatric subspecialists across multiple disciplines for integrated neonatal care
• Support and supervise active resident rotations through the NICU
• Deliver continuous, evidence-based care for critically ill and premature newborns
• Engage in rounding responsibilities under an organized and balanced schedule promoting physician wellness
• Participate in a well-structured call system supporting sustainable workload distribution
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within the NICU
• Provide family-centered care and communication in a high-empathy clinical environment
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
• Active Georgia medical license required or willingness to obtain
• Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
• Previous neonatology experience required
• DEA registration must be obtained prior to start date
• This is a permanent, full-time position requiring local residency
• Not accepting locums or visa candidates
