This major academic medical center is a leading healthcare institution that provides comprehensive tertiary care services to the region. The facility features a Level I Trauma designation and operates a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, offering advanced care for the most critically ill newborns with state-of-the-art technology and expert medical teams.

Opportunity:
Physician Assistant (PA) - Neonatology

Job Details:
• Provide specialized neonatal care in a Level III NICU with 10-12 patients per day
• Work 12-hour shifts with day (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) and night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) options
• Coverage needed starting July 5, 2026 due to fellowship program pause and transition to APP-only staffing
• Must be board certified through ANCC, AANP, NCCPA or equivalent organization
• Active Michigan state license required (no new license candidates accepted)
• Current NRP certification required with advanced provider or instructor status
• Neonatal experience required - new graduates not accepted
• Perform delivery room attendance and neonatal resuscitation
• Conduct PICC line placement, umbilical line placement, and needle aspiration procedures
• Manage chest tube placement when necessary
• Work under physician supervision with supervising physician present during assignment
• Utilize Epic EMR documentation system
• Weekend coverage included in schedule
• Credentialing process approximately 120+ days
• Hotel, mileage reimbursement at IRS standard rate, and flight costs covered by facility

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
