Nephrologist needed in North Carolina

Job description

Coverage Details:
• Coverage needed per month: 4-5 weeks/month
• Frequency of any Call needed: 8am on Monday through 8a the following Monday for hospital Nephrology call; first full week of the month. Physician is on call for the hospital for 24hr/day for 7 days and will see patients for 2 half days in the office while on call.
• Schedule Details:
o Non call week
o Monday – clinic 8a-5p; 12p-1p for lunch break
o Tuesday – outpatient dialysis patients (TBD)
o Wednesday – clinic 8a-5p; 12p-1p for lunch break
o Thursday – clinic 8a-5p; 12p-1p for lunch break
o Friday – clinic 8a-12p
o Call week (first full week of the month)
o Monday – hospital call coverage starts at 8am
o Tuesday – hospital call coverage
o Wednesday – clinic 1p-5p
o Thursday – clinic 1p-5p
o Friday – hospital call coverage
o Saturday – hospital call coverage
o Sunday – hospital call coverage
o Monday – hospital call coverage ends at 8am
Work Details:
• Support staff: 2 clerical, 2 clinical
• Department Description: Nephrology practice with embedded LabCorp lab and two MD’s
• Patient Volume: 10ppd/MD
• Patient Age Group: 18 and older
• EMR/Documentation System: EPIC
• EMR/Documentation system experience – required or preferred?: pervious EPIC experience preferred
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: inpatient dialysis, outpatient dialyis facility (Fresenius)
Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d/Preferred: BC in Nephrology
• State License(s) / IMLC Req’d?: NC license required
Privileging Timeframe: ~90 days for payor credentialing
Willing To License?: no
