Trauma Neurosurgery NP/PA Needed in Oakland, CA
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Length: 6 months with option to extend
Schedule: Full-time, 4x10s weekly
Practice Details:
• Hospital setting with a high volume of neuro-trauma cases
• APPs support inpatient coverage, outpatient clinic coverage, and OR assistance
• Inpatient census averages 8–15 patients/day
• Outpatient clinic averages around 20 patients/day shared with attending
• Epic EMR
Team Structure:
• Monday–Thursday: 2 additional APPs onsite
• Friday: 1 additional APP onsite
• Saturday–Sunday: solo APP coverage with attending physicians and RNs available for support
Requirements:
• Minimum 1–2 years of Neurosurgery experience
• Must have neuro-trauma and Level 1 trauma experience
• Must have both inpatient and outpatient experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• Active CA license required for NPs
• Open to licensing PAs in CA
Additional Details:
• APPs must be comfortable removing surgical drains
• First assist experience preferred but not required
• NPs must have RNFA if interested in first assisting
