Neurosurgery/Spine APP Locum Opportunity

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 25 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
No weekends or holidays
Full-time coverage needed

Position Highlights:

* Outpatient-only role
* Academic medical center environment
* APP will support a busy spine practice focused on neurosurgical and orthopedic spine patients
* No OR responsibilities

Work Details:

* Team of 7 APPs supporting 5 surgeons and 2 physiatrists
* MA and patient navigator support for scheduling and administrative tasks
* APP responsibilities include patient exams, triaging calls, ordering imaging, medication management, post-op follow-ups, and ongoing patient care
* Surgeons and fellows handle initial consults and pre-op visits; APP manages follow-up and post-operative care
* Adult patient population only
* Average volume: 20–22 patients per day in clinic; up to 26 with telehealth visits
* Strictly outpatient setting — no inpatient or surgical responsibilities

Required Experience:

* Minimum 2–3 years of experience in:

* Orthopedic Spine
* Neuro Spine
* Neurosurgery with significant spine exposure
* Pain Management with spine-focused patients
* Must be comfortable conducting consults independently
* Strong outpatient experience required
* Academic medical center experience strongly preferred
* Neurology providers may be considered if they have extensive spine experience

Procedures/Skills:

* Staple removal
* Drain removal
* Wound care
* Experience with trigger point, hip, and/or knee injections is a plus, but not required
